Web Design for UK Service Businesses
Get a website your customers can find and use, built for a service business. LocalisedSEO UK builds websites for service businesses across the United Kingdom: plumbers, electricians, roofers, builders, landscapers, painters and decorators, and the trades that sell to homeowners and commercial clients.
A trade website is a small site, usually five to ten pages, that states what a business does, where it works, and how to book it, and gives search engines a machine-readable record of the same three facts. Every site is built and delivered by Vlad Tabaranu. Work covers UK service businesses, with the operating base in Harborne, Birmingham.
Why a website stops bringing in work
The site does not say where you work
A customer in the next town cannot tell whether you cover them, so they call the firm that says so. A service-area page and consistent coverage statements answer that before the phone call.
The site loads slowly on a phone
Trade searches happen on phones, often outdoors, often in a hurry. A site that takes six seconds loses the call to one that takes two.
The site publishes nothing a search engine can read
Without structured markup an engine reads a page of text and infers what the business is. With it, the page states the organisation, the service area and the operator directly.
There is no proof of completed work
A gallery of real jobs converts better than any adjective. Stock photography is visible to customers and it costs trust.
Word of mouth stops scaling
Referrals fill the diary in the areas you already work. They never reach the street you have not been to yet.
What a service-business website includes
WordPress website build
A new site on WordPress, so the business owns its own content and is never locked to one agency’s proprietary system. Pages for each service, a service-area page, a contact route, and a gallery for completed work.
- Pages for every service sold
- Service-area page with named coverage
- Contact route and enquiry form
- Gallery for completed work
Search-friendly website structure
One H1 per page, headings matching the services actually sold, image alt text, schema markup naming the organisation and its service area, and internal links between services and the areas they cover.

- Schema naming the organisation and service area
- Image alt text on every photograph
- Internal links between services and areas
Website redesign
For a business that already has a site and is not getting enquiries from it. Existing content is kept where it earns its place and restructured where it does not, with URLs redirected so existing rankings are not discarded.
- Existing content kept where it earns its place
- URLs redirected so rankings carry across
- Structure rebuilt, history retained
- Staging URL to review before launch
Website maintenance and hosting
Monthly WordPress core and plugin updates, daily automated off-site backups, 24/7 uptime monitoring, security scanning, and one hour of content changes or bug fixes each month.

Accreditation and trust information
Gas Safe, NICEIC, TrustMark and trade-body registrations shown with the registration number, because a number is checkable and a logo alone is not.
- Gas Safe, NICEIC and TrustMark registrations
- Registration numbers shown, not just logos
- Insurance and licence details where held
- Trade-body membership displayed
Completed-work gallery
Real photographs of completed work, captioned with the job type and location. Stock imagery is visible to customers and it costs trust.
- Real photographs of completed jobs
- Captioned with job type and location
- No stock imagery
- Organised by service
Web design pricing
A one-off fee, separate from the monthly SEO plans, fixed before any work begins. What moves it: the number of service pages, whether existing content is reusable, and whether an old site needs redirecting rather than replacing.
Fixed price quoted before work starts
- Pages for every service sold
- Service-area page with named coverage
- SEO-ready structure and schema markup
- Gallery for completed work
- Staging URL to review before launch
- Redirects from any existing site
Ongoing search work is priced separately. The Pro plan at £1,098 a month includes a custom website, so a business wanting both pays less than buying them apart. See the monthly plans.
Who this does not suit
LocalisedSEO UK does not take on businesses that cannot evidence themselves. A trade website states registrations, insurance and completed work, and search engines corroborate those from sources outside the site: company registration, trade-body membership, and genuine reviews. A business holding none of those has nothing for the site to state. Web design also does not suit anyone needing a site live this week: the audit, written quote and build run in sequence.
Web design process
Audit & scope
Vlad reviews the existing site, the Google Business Profile, and the services you actually sell. The technical and performance audit is completed within three to five business days of kickoff.
Written quote, then build
Fixed price and stated scope before anything begins. The site is built on a staging URL you can see before it goes live.
Launch & handover
Redirects in place where an old site is being replaced, so existing rankings carry across. A standard site launches one to six weeks from design sign-off, provided content and photographs arrive on schedule.
Website quote and initial assessment
You get back what the current site is missing, what a build would cover, and a fixed price before any work starts.
